Re: Tx 200 HC ..

The black plates do not come apart. Thought I would mention this as one of the above posts said yes. The very first TX's had screws that held the plates together, but they are riveted together since around 1991. My oldest MarkI TX is serial #00321 and is riveted, but a friend owns serial #00322 and ...

Re: TX200 FT scope choices

I have the Bushnell 8-32 4200 Elite on 2 of my TX's and the 6-24 on another. They are bulletproof and both range well, if your eyesight is good. If your eyes are a bit dim you may need more mag. My 6-24 has been on a TX for at least 100,000 shots and it's still going strong. I mount them low and clo...

Re: servicing the car.

The right rear plug on a 390 c.i. V-8 Ford pick-up is also pretty bad. We once did the job and found that the first 2-3 garage jobs had failed to remove that one original plug. You have to drop the fuel tank on most cars to change the pump, but my old 69 Buick Riviera had a hole and removable plate ...

Re: Tx 200 HC cocking arm ..

Do you mean side to side play or up and down? Up and down is normal as there is really no way to avoid it, but side to side isn't normal. I have TX's with 100,000 shots and they have very little side to side play. I always take a toothpick and pack a load of quality lube in around the 2 slots at the...

Re: Think ive about done shooting airguns

I haven't shot a pellet since April. It's been so hot I just don't feel up to it these days. I work all day in mid 90F heat and come home to cool off, so sitting outside sweating on my guns isn't to appealing these days. I've had these stretches before and a little cool down in the fall will snap me...

Re: ruddy women!

You've got it made. My wife has never even looked at the mower. I have 2 3/4 acres that have to be mowed once a week and this is after coming home from a roof job. I have to agree that mowing is a mans job and I'd never expect my wife or daughter to even try it. Imagine how you'd feel if she mowed h...

Re: Dicky birds

Here in central Florida, the chimney swifts were about a week late for some reason. They are almost like clockwork arriving on April 1, give or take a day. I only use my chimney as a nesting ground for the swifts (only had one fire in the last 15 years) and counted 51 birds one year. I saw on the TV...

Re: piston seal

I like the small Apex seal from Jim Maccari. Google him at Air Rifle Headquarters. The web page won't list the TX in the guns that the small apex seal fits, but it's the right one. The seal is a bit more flexible than the factory seal.

I couldn`t really see the point TBO, not what airgun shooting is about for me anyway. each to his own I suppose.

I have to agree totally. I just can't see a use for a semi auto air rifle.
