Well...He followed my advice.
He took the stock off and had a goodlook over.
Over thing looked fine so he put it back together taking special care to tighten the screws correctly.
VOILA.
Shoots fine and the hard cocking has disappeared..

Re: TX200 Hard to Cock
That is exactly what I told him to do. Also he saw online where the front stock mounting bracket screw might need to be seated further. He is going to try that...

TX200 Hard to Cock
My hunting partner in Kansas, USA, styas his TX200 is becoming hard to cock. I asked him to ask the professionals here. I too have a TX200 and have shot 12-15,000 rounds through it with nary a burp, err, except that time when the cockingn handle came loose and I touched one off without knowing. A re...

TX200 Cocking Shoe
I suspect we in the colonies shoot a bit more than our brothers/sisters on the continent (more open space) and maybe we wear out parts faster becasue of that but, I have a question for the members that I feel you can answer. Deposits in the New TX200 Barrel
On the GTA Forum there is a shooter with a new TX200 with some streaks that may be rust in the breech.
I suspect they are burnt oil/grease from a sloppy build.
What do you think?
Thanks

Re: Tx200 mk 3 rubber underlever stop
Austin, I bought five of these rubber stops and destroyed two before I figured out they must be installed during manufacture and pulled through the hole in the shroud from the inside. Now we just place an o-ring on the cocking handle, big enough so it contacts the barrel shroud before the cocking ha...
