if all this started after you had it jam and forced it then try this before you do any thing else, degrease the probe as well as you can, use a black marker pen and cover the whole tip of the probe, refit it, work it in and out a couple of times then strip it gently and see if/where the ink has been...

when mine was allways having power increase problems it was the firing pot settings causing it, reset that, set the venture ans never had the same problem again, just can`t remember what I set it to but it was wound out too far by previous owner
