Re: Wanted hft gun ev1-2 hft 500 fpt 900 or similar

Having problems posting an image, but I have a Lane regulated HFT500 in a custom Tilly stock going for £750. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

Re: HFT results so far

Then tried without the silencer. Big difference in poi at 50yds. Guess my gun prefers QYS pellets and the neighbours will have to put up with the bark from the HFT. Did the group open up with the moderator or was the POI simply in a different place? A moderator will nearly always change the POI, bu...

Re: S400F carbine .177

Hi Richard About 45 shots from around 170 to 110 bar would be an average sort of sweet spot for the carbine, depending on how you define the sweet spot. However, the exact pressure limits of the sweet spot can vary quite a lot from gun to gun, as it mainly depends, not on the model, but on the balan...

Re: Robert Lane Regulator

Sorry to hear that. It might be worth phoning Robert. He is very approachable and I'm sure he'd help. Just don't phone him when you are in a hurry :D

Re: Air Arms S400 Mrp-Ft

Sounds like the o-rings haven't sealed properly against the cylinder walls. I suggest taking the reg out, degrease and use a bit of very fine steel wool on the cylinder - repeat as necessary :D . If it's any consolation, the first Lane I fitted absolutely haemorrhaged air, and I thought I was in rea...

Re: Air Arms S400 Mrp-Ft

I have fitted both lane and Altaros regulators in S400's. There is not much difference in ease of installation, and not much difference in performance. Drilling the air cylinder for the Lane is not difficult, and both regs require the inside of the cylinder to be smooth, although only a small area, ...

Re: WTF is that??????

I have spent a fair bit of time in southern Burgundy, where European hornets ( 'frelon' in French) are common. They certainly do make a hell of a noise when they fly, which is lucky, because their sting is horrendous, and I can tell you from plenty of personal experience that although they are quite...

Re: New HFT500 owner

Hi Piles Welcome to the forum. I know what you mean about the angle of the grip. A lot of people like it, but I could never get used to it, which is why mine is now in a CS800 stock: https://i.imgur.com/7ZOrpdg.jpg I've also fitted a Lane regulator and the shorter cylinder, giving around 170 shots f...

Re: Breech seals

I've tried floating S-series barrels, but in my opinion the 10mm barrels are simply not rigid enough and I got unacceptable, totally unpredictable, POI shift from them flopping around - quite apart from what a light tap on a tree can do. I realised how flexible they are when, almost as a joke, I tri...

Re: Breech seals

Don't take the barrel off! Get a length of 4mm dowel, push it in from the muzzle until it is just behind the groove that holds the o-ring, then fiddle the o-ring in with a broken cocktail stick and an Allen key. The dowel makes a back stop, the break makes the cocktail stick much better for manoeuvr...
