With the recommended spring pressures and the venturi right out I would expect 790+ fps with your pellets. Ive never had a problem with the barrel band, I just loosen the grub screws and let the barrel sort itself, if it's a problem, you can fit a rowanengineering one, and you can see a gap all around the barrel, just tighten when it's not touching, fitted one on my S400, kind of floating without the wo...

I agree with Tonyc about the protection, so I use the barrel band, but I use an oversize one from Rowan so the barrel floats, but can only move a fraction if it does get a knock - not enough to take a bend (hopefully ).

I don't think I've ever used a gun, PCP or springer, that was spot-on first shot after being left for a day or so. Just pop off a few shots, or even dry fires and all should be well.

Unless something is actually broken, the only causes I can think of are: - Breech seal - use a BS008 o ring and Molycote 55, which makes the rubber swell very slightly. - Transfer port seal - should be delrin on an FAC gun. Check and see if it is damaged and make sure it is properly seated. - Brass ...
