Re: Adjuster for turning down.

Unless the Police have their own forensic facilities they cannot test. Yes, they can have the gun put over a chrono to indicate if it may be near or over the limit but then they would have to get a registered forensic lab to do the testing. In Court you would be able to ask for sight of any Calibrat...

The only Chrono that matters is the one the test house would use.

Re: Adjuster for turning down.

I see. So if I was to fit a hammer spring that made my rifle sub 12 ft/lb with a fully open transfer port, I should be Ok. Or do you think they would class it as FAC just for having an adjuster fitted. The legislation says that your rifle should not be "Capable" of more than 12FPE. If you...

Re: Adjuster for turning down.

Interesting.

Would all the S4**'s and S200's fitted with adjusters by Air Arms prior to AT now be considered Section 1 ?

Re: low power

From what I can recall the "firing valve" is in the cylinder.

If the cylinder is loose it will result in low and uneven power. First step is to tighten the cylinder and re-check.

Re: UK Power Limit

When testing rifles (or pistols) to see if they are capable of being over 12fpe (6fpe), if the power adjusting screw is accessible from pre-AT or having AT removed durring tunning or servicing, is this opened up fully durring testing? There is no set test procedure. A "Test House" will ha...

Re: UK Power Limit

thank you ray ,I think it is on to ask those in authority and the manufacturers. There was an issue with the new BSA lightning XL as the barrel was I think under 300mm, but as long as the barrel weight was fixed it was classed as part of the barrel length which made it ok . daz Hi Darren, Only the ...

Re: UK Power Limit

There is also something else that we should be aware of. Air rifles with short barrels (less than 300mm) like the Prosport and TXHC (there are others) that are capable of more than 12FPE are not classified as Section 1 but are in fact Section 5 Prohibited weapons and can attract the minimum sentence...

Re: UK Power Limit

Hi Darren, A very interesting question which our airgun manufacturers and magazine Editors should be answering. You airgun has been fitted with AT, which means you cannot adjust the power. You find your gun shooting above the limit. Not a single manufacturer or magazine has offered any advice on how...
