Re: S510 Classic with bad grouping

I can't help you much with the barrel or choke. I would just try loosening and carefully re-tightening the barrel band just to allow the barrel to centralise. Check the barrel crown and breech for any burrs, though I'm not aware LW barrels suffer in this respect. The other possibility is the magazin...

Re: S510 Classic with bad grouping

MV needs to optimised for the pellets you are using. Try at 850-880fps and see what grouping you get. Maximum MV will probably be low 900s but best performance may be lower. You say you aren't getting a normal distribution, so how does it distribute? Any consistent deviation from normal distribution...

Re: 510 FAC - MAGAZINE

510 FAC Hiya, I need a new magazine as mine sticks, not sure why. Have tried numerous pellets but whats the favoured pellet for this rifle When you say the magazine sticks do you mean you get jams when loading, or the drum is not rotating freely in the casing? If the former, how old is the gun? If ...

Re: S400 Tuning

I've not measured the depth of the TP screw, just wound it in and out until you find the point at which it has no further effect. In theory, if you wind it out too far the power should start to drop as you introduce dead space/increased volume in the TP.... so just enough rather than overdo it. Edit...

Re: stock finish (walnut)

I waxed mine with a quality beeswax & natural oils furniture polish which gave it a soft sheen and just a touch darker. If you want a darker gloss finish use boiled linseed oil, or tung oil for a matt finish. There are various branded BLO-based preparations for walnut stocks, including some containi...

Re: Pro-Sport clang

Do you know what power it was running at? Check with a chrono just to make sure it's not a broken spring. One possibility is piston bounce. I've not had any clangs but I have found my TX has a distinct "boing" and is rough with tight, heavy pellets. If you don't know what power it was running at and...

Re: S400 Tuning

Some Loctite on the adjuster will seal it and stop it moving. If you are going to leave it unplugged I suggest you limit the power by the pot adjustment with the transfer port unrestricted. Then, your gun isn't capable of being adjusted above the legal limit without being disassembled.

Re: Pro sport shot grouping issue???

I'm guessing you are talking about random directions rather than consistent vertical drop. If it's vertical check the power is constant using a chrono. If it's random or off in another direction, Google "artillery position" and try resting the rifle on your hand. A springer on a fixed rest that is t...

Re: scope mounts

Line of sight with the 50mm objective will be okay; with S400/410 skinny barrel the scope can sit low enough. The issue is with 30mm tube clearing the mag. I'd check the Sportsmatch medium mounts... they are okay in 25mm but scope centre is the same on 30mm mediums so I don't think they will clear t...

Re: S400 filing issue

The adaptor may not be a good fit. It should feel fairly tight when you slip it on and off. I have two adaptors and they are slightly different sizes. If I use them the wrong way round the loosest has a tendency to leak on one gun. The only thing I can suggest is thicker O-rings or try a different a...
