Re: Other interests
Good for you FP, I aspire to that kind of result but, still tend to measure my performance in the number of balls lost (or rather not lost!) Often see pro golfers call penalties on themselves even when no one else would ever know. I can see an American football player saying that the ball actually ...

Re: Other interests
I enjoy old pocketknives as well as my airguns. I also have this thing for the greatest of all sports/games. And that is, of course, golf. It is a game that can be played alone just like shooting. Having not played a round in 2 years, I went out for a round last week. On a par 72 course I shot a 41 ...

Re: Did you know...
the Fortingall Yew tree in Perth Scotland is over 3000 years old which makes it the 2nd oldest living organism in Europe! (After TT obviously!) We had a bald cypress tree in Longwood Florida called the Senator and it was an estimated 3500 years old. I say had because a meth user set fire to the hol...

Re: What are you listening too?
Slim Whitman, George Baker, and when Christmas gets here I'll listen to Helmut Lotti and Cliff Richard singing Mary's Boy Child as well as David Bowie and Bing Crosby.

Re: What are you listening too?
Motown wouldn't make my ears bleed, but I would probably slit my throat if I had to listen. CCR is my favorite, but I listen to most classic rock from the 60's and 70's. How about Dave Dee?

Re: New versus old piston seal.
I've always used the JM small Apex seal. It's made of a softer material if it's the old blue colored one. They seem to last for ages and they do help soften the firing on FAC TX's.

Re: Rabbit meat-good or bad?
We used to have a lot of cottontail rabbits when I was a boy and they do taste better than chicken. Mom would soak them in a bowl of saltwater overnight(in the fridge) before frying them up. We now have almost no rabbits due to the fact that any ground nesting birds or the rabbits are eaten alive by...
