Re: targets
I have seen some good target catches made from old callor gas bottles, which are very thick to catch the pellet. An angle grinder was used to cut the hole. They have them at Woodend Farm Shooting Complex near Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire.

Re: Bullpup air rifles
In military terms bull-pups were designed for use for fighting in built up areas, where the length of a conventional assault rifle could become a problem. The bull-pup design gave you a high powered assault rifle, for the size of a 9mm sub machine gun, while attaining the automatic and semi automati...

Re: S200 problem
If you have a friend with a fill tank, or a gun or dive shop with one, get them to fill it for you. That way if it can be filled with a dive bottle or compressor its not the rifle.

Re: New Addition!!
I've used the G96 gel twice now. First on my Air Arms S200, and then on my 37 year old Crosman 1377 last weekend. For me the results were fine. At 37 years old I had decided to self service my crosman and blue it all at the same time. It had never had a service in all those years, and finally gave u...

Re: New tuning discovery
It would be interesting to know how long a main standard manufactured spring will last compared to the aftermarket variety tuning kit springs, as in all things, the quality of the materials must play their part in the life of the mainspring. I am sure some have had the same springs in their rifles f...

Re: S400 fitting Rowan mag probs
It's a shame that Air Arms couldn't make an aftermarket magazine for the S400, like they did for the S200. That would solve a lot of problems. Probably best to talk to Air Arms and Rowan Engineering. One to find out if the breach is correct, and two to see if something needs altering on the magazine...

Re: 12 ft/lbs
To many, like me included when in conversations on the matter, it seems crazy to class an air rifle just over 12 ft/lb as a firearm. They, should have had a separate license for high powered air rifles, in a similar class as a shotgun license. You can go out and buy a compound bow, or cross bow, who...

Re: AA TDR.
I must admit Mick, when I first started shooting back in the mid 70s, springers were all they had, and I was about 14 when I finally got a Rellum Tornado out of one of those mail order catalogues as a present from my Mum and Dad. I know it wasn't one of the best rifles, but I got used to it and was ...

The Air Arms Ultimate Sporter is a great rifle. But the laminate stocks put me off. I'm old fashioned. Walnut would be great, but I haven't seen one yet, why not?

Re: swivel studs
Tom, you should be OK. The Airgun Centre sell these rifles as a package with bipods if needed, so it must be possible. I've not really noticed if the rifle studs come in different lengths or not, but I do know that some come with spaces, so that you wouldn't need to screw them in so far. Its always ...
