Re: Change in Power after first shot - TX200
I bought my TX second hand and I was having power fluctuation issues so I replaced the cocking shoe, breech seals and the piston seal. I have found now that when I take my first shot it averages at 770 fps (8.4gn JSB exacts), if I cock and fire another pellet straight away it drops to about 730-740...

Re: killer crow
A bump for this thread. I thought the killer crow had gone but with a few pigeons around he's back chasing them again. Not seen another kill but he actively pursues them usually when they have just landed on the ground. He's also dive bombed a few when they've been on the wires. Same markings, same ...

The O rings are stacked on top of each other so it looks as though you had one missing. Have a gentle dig with a cheap dental pick but make sure you put two back in.

Re: Tin Bum Tuning - Short Stroke fitting.
That's the effect of the short stroke nose extension. More preload needed to try and make power.
I can almost guarantee that with a standard spring, maybe 2 washers and no short stroke you'll be back up to 11 ftlb+
Just out of interest why a maccari seal instead of the standard item?

With all out technology we should get cutting edge programmes, spectacular filming and something well worth watching. Even the historical channels should be good! So what do we get tonight on 19? Two Ronnies Christmas special ffs! TV soon to be dumped in the stream, refund on the licence. What a loa...

BBF Flight
I just heard the beautiful and familiar sound of multiple Merlin engines overhead and rushed outside to be greeted by the sight of the BBF Lancaster directly overhead and I estimate at no more than 800ft. What a gorgeous sight and sound, a true beauty with a mechanical symphony rumbling away. That's...

Re: Tin Bum Tuning - Short Stroke fitting.
Hi Jason, Fitting a short stroke nose means the spring has to work harder to produce the power, probably why there are extra washers fitted. Some people like short stroke, personally I don't. The spring guide should be a snug fit into the spring but not tight so judicious use of sandpaper will help....
