Re: measuring pellets

Once again, I have to agree with F Poole about not being able to measure lead pellets (with a vernier calliper) to 0.01mm. That's 0.0004", or just under "half a thou" to us old gits. This type of pellet gauge may be a more sensible way of sizing pellets if that's your thing. Not a che...

Re: measuring pellets

I've seen so many posts where people show a tin of pellets in little lines, according to head size. The same picture shows a digital veneer caliper and measurements of, say 4.50, 4.49, 4.48 and so on. I have a quality digital caliper and all I can say is, I simply can't believe these folks are seri...

Re: Bullpup or no

Fashion sure is a strange thing to get your head around isn't it. Not for me, but if that's what you need to satisfy your lifestyle image, so be it. As said above, to each their own. Just like the G-Wiz. Maybe, they were just born to be a couple :)

Re: ProSport scoping options

As Rog says, 19.4oz. The reticle is a bit like Marmite, some say it's over complex, but I love the SCB (small calibre ballistic) reticle, it ticks all the boxes for me. Plenty of aim points and small divisions between mildots below the horizontal line. If you can find a good one on the S/H market, g...

Re: ProSport scoping options

MTC Mamba Lite 3-12 x 44 with BKL mounts. Comes with side wheel parallax adjustment and flip-up lens covers.

Works perfectly on my 0.177 ProSport. However, I'm not sure if MTC still supply them.

Re: Prosport cocking lever

Not sure to be honest. But if your concern is the sharp edges (which perhaps Air Arms should address), fine wet n dry paper works perfectly to break the sharp edges. Much can also depend on just how you grip it.

Re: Adjustable butt plate for Pro Sport

You need to bear in mind that it has most of it's adjustment downwards (40mm) and only a little upwards (5mm). I'd love to fit one to my ProSport, but want most of the adjustment downwards.

Re: Prosport or HC??????

Hello Staffy1, I have both (in 0.177) because they are both great, but different. TX200HC - Super accurate, gorgeous "fish scale" chequering, slightly lighter, reasonably compact. Not the quietest report, but not too intrusive. Can be tiring to cock during long sessions due to the short co...

Re: Springer scope mounts

Ditto for BKL double strap mounts. A little more expensive than some, but worth every penny. Got them on my TX200 HC and ProSport and they've never budged when torqued-up correctly. A word of warning though, don't lubricate the Allen screw threads otherwise you could apply more bolt tension than nee...

Re: Targets

Hang up an aluminium can (after you've drunk the beer of course!) and try cutting it in half with a row of pellets. Easier said than done. The front row of holes is fairly easy, but they don't exit the back of the can in a straight line because they get slightly deflected from their flight path.
