Re: HELP Please TX200 Mk1 problem

glad to be of help. It's not uncommon to get the 'shiny stripe where the comp tube rubs. Pro Sports have a delrin bearing which prevents the problem. The rust spots on the comp tube (hardened steel) and the burr are almost exactly the same as what happened to me. When I stripped it all down the pist...

Re: HELP Please TX200 Mk1 problem

It may be caused by galling inside the cylinder. The rear end of the compression tube is pushed upwards to ride along the cylinder wall when you cock the rifle. This caused a 'grinding' sound in my first TX (also a MK1) When I stripped it down there was a worn stripe opposite and clearly visible thr...

Re: Top Sear problems

2. The TX sear is holding back the mainspring whereas the S400 etc is only holding back the hammer spring so maybe safety is a concern. They are just being careful I guess. and they are a manufacturer not a retailer. I know they are not a retailer but middle sears are widely available for £12,50 fr...

Re: Top Sear problems

A while ago I started a thread, on another forum, regarding my friend's TX200 top sear. The contact point where it latches to the piston rod has been damaged/worn. Air Arms were contacted asking for advice and a receipt e-mail was just 'spares can be found at the following suppliers' No request for ...

Re: air arms Tx200MK3 loss of power

It sounds to me like you have done no harm at all. If the spring was compressed for 2 weeks and is still 220mm then that's fine. As it is making slightly more power with lighter pellets it may be slamming slightly if you have any metal washers in the piston you could try taking one out and adding th...

Re: New Pro Sport Sometimes it will fire and sometimes it wo

It is likely that the oil/grease that AA use in the trigger unit is affecting the operation of the cocking/safety button. Maybe the stuff they use is good for transportation/storage but it leaves the sears discoloured and slow as it becomes sticky. I have stripped several TXs and Pro Sports and they...

TX200 trigger parts

I am looking for a top sear for the TX unit.

My friend's has a small amount of damage where the piston rod latches and I don't want him to risk it

Re: TX200 SR

They are relatively easy to service at home. Just a bit more fiddly than a standard TX and re-assembly must be done in a specific order. Chrono before you dismantle as they are very efficient and can easily go over 12ft/lb You learn a lot about a springer if you do it yourself and save money The Nyl...
