TbT Short stroke kit Prosport .177

Per my other recent post am fitting a new spring into an otherwise spotless PS .177 which already had a TbT tuning kit (not spring) fitted when I bought it. Given it is apart I am inclined to try a TbT short stroke kit, as I am conscious of the hold sensitivity and am led to believe this may improve...

Re: New Pro-Sport .22 seems low-powered

Revisiting an old thread as as having similar experience: I bought a s/h but mint Prosport .177 a year ago (with a TbT tuning kit) and it shot (and still does shoot) beautifully. It chrono'd at 10.6 ft.lb, and with the smoothness was ideal for my uses at 25-45 yards. Having got fully used to it, I c...

Re: Pro sport shot grouping issue???

I have a PS and am no expert, it being my first air rifle. However, it groups consistently within 1/2" absolute maximum at 25 yards, with bean bag support under fore end and shoulder hold rear. I would suspect pellets if it is a 'one in x' flyer. Just tested a friend's HW-100 which are pellet on pel...

Re: Adjustable butt pad for Prosport

Thanks for the feedback - yes it was the 'in keeping' that drove me to make instead of buy.

Love the rifle...

Adjustable butt pad for Prosport

Been looking for an adjustable butt pad solution. The Rowan one is no doubt very well made but: (a) It's aluminium and my rifle has all polished brass fittings (their trigger and guard - excellent stuff) (b) it's quite thick and adds about half an inch to the reach (c) I'm not 100% keen on the fiddl...

Re: Open sights

PM me if needed and I can provide details.

Yes a 3D notch holder could be made for the dovetails easily and an open post for front too.

Re: Loading Pellets

I found that loading pellets became easier - or more 'mechanical' when I made a habit of holding the underlever with my left hand (having cocked it with my right) whilst I loaded the breech with my right. I suspect it was/is because this always places the gun in the same orientation each time, with ...

Re: Open sights

I haven't so apologies for being one of those annoying people who says that, and then 'but'... I have a PS, and if I were to do it, I would consider a diopter sight - are you allowed to use those? If so, obviously the rear could be fitted to the dovetail, and for the foresight I would get a 3D-print...

Re: New and old members

Just joined, having been a pistol shooter for a few years, but succumbed to a second-handPro Sport. Absolutely love it, and managed to bag a Bushnell Elite 4200 to match. Have added a Rowan trigger, and also oiled the stock progressively to a gorgeous deep satin - which accentuates the wonderful tig...

Re: Gun rest bags

Cat litter is quite good - not too heavy and cheap by the large bag!

Helpful if you have cats too...
