Re: Cleaning Kit Suggestions.

I personally use Ballistol as my gun care liquid. m I bought my 500ml can when it cost me about £8.50 (around eight years ago) I still have about half of it left. I keep a small plastic bottle of it in my shooting kit, and a 4" square of old tee shirt in a ziploc bag. It is truly astounding stu...

Re: In memory of Freddie - Thank you

Good evening Clare. I am Duncan Rogers, from Dunfermline. I too mostly conducted my business online with Freddie. I really got his sense of humour and brilliant, articulate style. I also phoned him a few times. I think my ears are still bleeding.... I only met Freddie once. it was actually not long ...

Re: Red squirrel

I too think a concerted effort could see grey numbers reduced hugely in a very short time. In parks and formal gardens, they ain't shy and would be lining up to commit hara kiri. It won't happen in this country as there are a few too many Brian Mays around Duncan PS, Oddly, the SNP have made noises ...

Re: Red squirrel

This permission I see reds all the time. When I was being shown round it by the owner (two and a half years ago) she said that she'd seen greys in the formal woodland bit of her garden. (She hadn't seen a red for two/three years. We got a fleeting glimpse of one grey on that mornings visit. Briony t...

I was out last Saturday morning at my perm in Perth & Kinross. Very cold start, it was 1 degree at 0530 as I was driving up the M90, the sun was splitting the trees though. Promise of a beautiful day Anyway, I got behind the gun at about ten to six and had eight good, healthy rabbits in the bag ...

Bluchron chronoscope

I have just bought the BC100 version of this device, and I can thoroughly recommend it. Just under £85 delivered. It performs flawlessly. I ran an 80 shot string on my ultimate sporter three nights ago. (Hence the reason I am opening the gun and giving it a good seeing to!) Pronounced power curve, a...

Re: Rabbit meat-good or bad?

On the analysis of different meats, rabbit comes in tops from a health perspective. m However, it can leach fat from your body if it is eaten on its own - not something any of us would do unless stranded on an island with nothing but rabbits on it. I bring my family up on a regular dose of rabbits ...
