Re: Wanted S400/410.

Picked up a lovely S410 from Granville today. Great guy and a pleasure to deal with. Everybody I've met or had contact with on the forum seems friendly and helpful no wonder it is so successful. Long may it continue.

Wanted S400/410.

I have decided to replace my ultra se multishot and am looking for an S410 or possible an S400 carbine (which I'd fit a Rowan multi shot system to). Have had an S400 classic before and whilst I really liked the rifle I didn't get on with the length/weight of it so really want a carbine. Would prefer...

Re: S200 cylinder strip.

A big thanks to Raj for helping with my S200 cylinder today. He not only took the time to drill out the holes I had elongated in my attempt to get the cylinder apart, but then also made some new inserts to enable it to be disassembled. A true gent and a credit to the sport and the forum. A pleasure ...

Re: S200 cylinder strip.

Well I've been in the garage again this afternoon. Double checked and there is definitely no air in the cylinder. Have used a vice gripping as tight as I dare, the correct XTX tool, stilsons a hammer and heat and it still won't budge. Either it or me is going to end up on the scrap heap if I carry o...

Re: S200 cylinder strip.

Afternoon guys, The cylinder is definitely empty and whilst not as manly as your vice Raj (apparently size does matter) mine is pretty substantial/heavy. I'm pretty sure all the air is out but am going to have another attempt today. Might even get my good lady to have a go as she always manages to o...

Re: S200 cylinder strip.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Raj's method should work, I think I just lack the confidence to tighten the vice up a bit more, either that or air arms used extra locktite on mine. I may well take Raj up on his offer of help rather than risk damaging the cylinder. Can't wait to get it all done as I ...

Re: S200 cylinder strip.

Just tried again and all that's happening is the cylinder is spinning within the abrasive paper. I can't tighten the vice any more or I may compress the cylinder. I only seem to be succeeding in marking the black finish at the moment. Really frustrating. I decided to walk away before anger set in an...

Re: S200 cylinder strip.

Thanks chaps, I've already tried tapping it with a hammer but didn't want to hit too hard on case I damaged the cylinder. Raj I like the idea of the abrasive paper. I wrapped a pice of old inner tube around mine which did give a little play so your idea looks better. Will give it another go and hope...
