Re: tx200hc stock change

I used to shoot a Walther LG200 with the factory blue laminate stock. They are immensely strong at the pistol grip, but all I got from the members was "plywood??"

Re: S510 xtra fac .22 fails to fire

If you are saying there was no sear overlap and the top sear was just hanging, with FAC weapon that was a fatal accident waiting to happen. Maybe the sear spring is not man enough to overcome the stronger FAC hammer spring (is there a different sear spring for FAC anyone? ) or maybe the sear pivot i...

Re: which is the best Air Arms rifle?

I would like to congratulate AA for bringing out the S400 MPR 10 metre rifle that looks the business, capable of competing at high level. Maybe not in Rio but in club events. Marketing among younger shooters and biathlons is commendable (pony clubs and similar groups are being loaned with them). Wit...

Re: S400 MPR cylinder gauge

Got my replacement gauge FOC from Air Arms (thank you SC) and plan to do the swap after a couple more details at the club to lose some more air. We'll see how tightly torqued that tiny little thing is. Fortunately they provide an open ended spanner which actually fits the cylinder since I filed the ...

Re: Help please

Leaving a gap in the side of the hole suggests CNC laser cutting including the hole. If it was me I would laser cut the outside then drill the hole. With a drill (call me old fashioned!) Pesumably they are then heat treated and some finish up brittle.

Re: Help please

The answer to all your questions is I don't know to be honest. It doesn't seem like cheap metal their quite heavy for how small they are. Maybe the slot allows lub to get to the pin? A magnet would tell if they are steel (while you have the broken bits in your hand) I wouldnt try a magnet on good s...

Re: Help please

Are the sears laser cut steel? Or monkey metal? I still don't see why theres a slot in all the pivot holes. That must weaken them but there must be a tech reason. Do Rowan make replacements?

Re: S400 MPR cylinder gauge

Got a 22mm box spanner from ebay and filed the corners so its 26.7 mm outside dia. Corners are now paper thin! Hopefully will not split when I try to undo the gauge. Their socket is more than just a straight 6 sided one, the corners have been strengthened internally. I suspect its a £100 special tool.

Re: Cocking bolt left to right

If you look at this diagram http://www.bisley-uk.com/product_v3.php ... 00ST&c=184 (printable version) you will see item 26 is a handing pin that will need to be moved to the other side. I've never done it though.

Re: S200 and S400 MPR dioptre sights - same size?

Feedback:
Needed a file running over the rail clamp as it was devoid of any tapered edge. Also the peephole carrier droops about 2 degrees below horizontal which doesnt affect usage it just looks droopy. You get what you pay for, Anschutz ones are £150-300.
