Re: s410 TDR new bolt

Ok, tried her hairdryer, wow that bolt got hot, thought it would never come off, but eventually it got loose, then looser, then it started moving, then slowly, slowly I edged it off the shaft. Was worried for while though, that I may not get it off! New one is on and looks much better IMHO, as the b...

Re: s410 TDR new bolt

Ah, ok, will try that later, thanx...

I'll try a hair dryer first (she has a mega expensive one, so it should get fairly hot), I will resist using my old plumbers gas bottle at this stage... 8-)

s410 TDR new bolt

Hi, just bought a new bolt for my s410 TDR as although its mostly black, for some reason the bolt is a sort of bare metal, not stainles steel, etc, so I decided to buy a Black anodised one from Rowan Eng. It was delivered this morning, I will have a look at it later this weekend, but I'm assuming it...

Re: marking magazine

Well spotted, I've looked at the bloody mag several times but had not spotted that it is actually a small allan key nut / fixing in the centre.

I would have probably bodged it before noticing, so thanx. 8-)

Re: marking magazine

My mag seems to be differnt to the older ones, the older ones seem to have a central screw (as well as a red dot) presumably the screw allowed them to be taken apart, whereas mine, just has two bits of plastic, case and lid, with the rotary magazine inside, presiumably with a spring, and washer arou...

Re: New Smart Phone camera mount

Have now tested this today, it works well, seems to have enough adustment for scopes, rifles, cameras, etc. I have posted a short you tube clip of the mount in action earlier this morning, see linky.. https://youtu.be/p5ONCsxdAJI Tried it on my work phone (Microsoft) and my personal phone (Moto G3) ...

Re: marking magazine

Hmm, yep you are right, just checked the manual and it does indeed mention the dots. Maybe they have stopped doing it now? My rifle is brand new, only got it last week and the markings on the gun indicate it was made in march 2017, so looks like it is new and has not been sitting on a dealers shelf ...
