Re: AA 500 HFT Regulator
I can't help you myself other than to say it might be a good idea to put your location in your profile and what reg you want fitted. There may be AAOC members who have fitted regs for other people depending on type required and whether you want it done locally or at distance.

Re: Reborn AIRARMS owner
The LW barrels used on most AA guns I presume to be broached, giving them a much smoother surface finish. Yes, clean all the storage grease out of a new barrel but you will likely see groups tighten very quickly once you use it and it will not need cleaning again until the groups begin to open out....

I think these are the same pellets as were also sold under the Webley Accupell brand. I've had good results in some guns so it's worth a try.

Re: S510 Classic with bad grouping
You said that the distribution is flat or sometimes 2 peaks. I think this indicates something is moving. I agree with Rog, it could be caused by pressure on the barrel. I'm assuming it is not simply a parallax error with the scope. I don't know what model of Hawke scope you have but I'm not a fan of...

Re: Open sights on TX200
If you want something functional and are not too worried about appearance you might look at a barrel clamp. I've used a barrel clamp with a short picatinny rail to mount various attachments, including miniature lasers which I've used for short range plinking and rats. I've also seen sights that atta...

Re: S510 Classic with bad grouping
I believe patratel is talking about tethered benchrest... Ah!... didn't think of that... but reg misbehaviour is ruled out I think. Ref your comment on barrel and shroud unlike the Ultimate Sporter, I've always wondered why from the other direction. Why put a shroud on the US that is purely cosmeti...

Re: S510 Classic with bad grouping
--> adjustment of the reg pressure (my S510 does NOT have an internal regulator but one on the air bottle): chrono and grouping correlation was done plainly and per each pellet type, even various batches; also done with a more expensive regulator (again, on the air bottle and not inside the AA, the...

Re: Regulator
Tonyc, is yours the earlier u.s. without a regulator please? Yes. The Ultimate Sporter has the carbine cylinder which gives me 70 consistent shots at <10fps variation set at 11.2-11.3ft lbs. I estimate the larger cylinder will give you 100+ shots. I've seen claims of 150+ shots with a Lane reg but ...

Re: Regulator
I'm very happy with the Altaros on my Ultimate Sporter. Easier to fit and set up than Lane/Huma/Tench. Uses the existing TP, valve and springing; unvented so no hole in the cylinder. You won't get a significant increase in shots but they will be consistent from 190bar to end of your present sweet sp...
