Re: cocking handle orientation

Right. The screw was very difficult to turn in the cocking handle but free turning in the bolt. The handle is therefore quite free turning on the bolt with the screw tight. By wiggling the screw back and forth it got looser in the handle but still binds up well before it locks the handle to the bolt...

Re: Is this S200 performing ok?

I have temporarily put up a pdf from an out of print book from the 1980's with several suggested left hand positions. Link below . Hamsters are currently limited to metal skeleton stocks as there is an ISSF 90mm limit from barrel centreline to base of forestock. That is being increased to 120mm in 2...

Re: fitness tips anyone? bet you all wrote me off!

I used to run and cycle in my 40's then after a ruptured disk damaged nerves to my left leg I had to pack in any exercise, pack in FT and rifle and get an automatic car. By continued daily walking I recovered 95% after a year. After 20 years I developed polymyalgia and asthma and finished up with a ...

Re: Is this S200 performing ok?

better than I can do at the moment. 82 ex 100 free unsupported standing would be respectable club league div 2 stuff. Probably only 2 at our club could beat it. Jacket and glove make a big difference. My average in 2004 with a canvas jacket and a Walther lg200 was 80

Re: Is this S200 performing ok?

Looking good now.
It does reflect on the skill of the Olympians to get every shot scoring 10.9 to 10.5, i.e every shot virtually inside the 10 ring whilst standing.
I am happy if I clip the 10 ring 1 out of 5 shots.

Re: Newbie question: Anti tamper

Ok so ask for a certificate from the shop which together with intact AT should be enough for any unlikely police check surely? It can be chrono'd regularly with AT intact. There's probably a market on ebay for aftermarket AT plugs though. Without one the rifle is "capable of exceeding 12 ftlb&q...

Re: Newbie question: Anti tamper

we havent a leg to stand on if over 12ftlb even if the AT is there but I would bloody well take Air Arms down with me. Anyway in my case it wouldnt apply being 6ftlb but knowing how to remove it is useful. I have probably stuffed my warranty by now. it's pretty well pimped up now. Incidentally my bo...

Re: Newbie question: Anti tamper

If I bought a rifle that was sold as legal with an anti tamper plug still intact I would not expect to be held responsible for its power. But then uk gun law is strange. Having said that my 6ft lb model has anti tamper and no way could you wind it up to be illegal. So maybe its just warranty. What d...
