Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.
I only ever weigh pellets when I get a fresh sleeve of them. http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/ae272/nickseagate/3014cc8d-d240-4a42-8501-c080525c5c30.jpg these are a sample of these particular express pellets being used at the moment, the same ones are stella in hw100 and hw30. I am at sometime goi...

Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.
Just concluded some acuracy testing with aafield express 7.9, very happy with it. From seated I occasionally cought a glimpse of the pellet as whizzed through the focus, that's never been known before with this particular rifle, there's noticeabley less recoil or appears so to the shooter.Shooting a...

Re: Impartial views please
What a good question. I've had much more satisfaction hunting with springers than with pcps. On the other hand there's been lots of situations I'd not even consider as shooting opportunities with a springer, where as I may have considered very viable with a pcp . In respect to a tx or a s400,it depe...

Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.
Swapped out the spring for an titan no10, slightly lighter gauge wire ,1 extra coil,10mm longer, smaller inside diameter which is too tight for the tinbum delrin or last aa steel spring guide but fits perfectly snug on a much used aa spring guide out of the spares box. Also removed 2 power washers, g...

Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.
Reading last night a lot of the posts in this section was quite a revelation to me, all the subtle nuances of swept volumes, transfer port sizes , piston mass etc etc , mind boggling and some of it to my mind somewhat counter intuitive until you start to think of it as an engine ,to be honest abit ab...

Re: Pellet preference ...
Maybe a pellet worth testing for the tx 22 is falcon accuracy 13.4grn, absolutely stella in my s400, they're made by JSB and are very similar to jsb exact rs express.

Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.
Thanks for that info Gary. For the time being I'm going to enjoy it just as it is,it shoots wonderfully. Maybe somewhere down the line I might ask Nick if he can supply me a mk2 spring with fitted guides.Or alternatively search out a titan spring of similar internal dimensions. It's more of a though...

Re: How and when do you clean the barrell
I've used the felt wads some years ago on a couple of pcps, to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if all they do is scrape the crud out of the last inch or so of choke and give the crown a clean edge.Just saying... The only time I clean a barrel usually is in the process of testing different pellets....

Re: Tx 200 HC and silencers ..
Attached to my tx via a 1/2 '' male to male thingy, is a hw silencer, it's always roughly wrapped in camo scrim hiding the ugliness of it.
It works fine for garden plinking, the neighbours who I've spoken to say it's barely audible.just a dull thwok is all that can be heard within 20-30 ish yards.
