Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.

So removed the titan and replaced with std mk3 spring with 5/8'' preload. Shooting in the 780ish region, initial impressions are that it's consistent.

Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.

I've been using the gun last week ,and maybe gone through some 1000 shots since the rebuild, it's descretely crept up in to the region of 815 fps from around 780 ish .Chairgun says it's currently around 11.7ftlb ,it still shoots civilised, an all lovely lovely but it's abit mad for garden plinking. ...

Re: PROSPORT SPRING GRIEF!

Watching this closely.

Recently fitted a no10 in tx with tb piston head, with out the slip disc under the top hat producing 10 .5ish.So I best keep an eye on it.

I've used titans before occasionaly with no issues.

Re: Disapointing shooting equipment.

Had a Spanish bsa lightning, probabley the worse gun I've ever owned, it would snap springs regularly ,complete waste of money.I think that and a tx 22 with wobbley trigger pins are the only 2 negative experinces I've had.

Disapointing shooting equipment.

Is there anything that you've bought that you were really looking forward to , might be an actual gun or ...but once you'd got it , realised that it wasn't suitable or of poor quality?

Re: TX200 trigger adjusting.

It might also be worth giving the rubber butpad a gentle clout with a mallet after adjustments, just to check the triggers knockproof.

Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.

''(not sure what you really mean by smooth)'' neither do I when I think about it. Here are some info comparing a the standard mk3 spring and a Titan no10. http://i979.photobucket.com/albums/ae272/nickseagate/DSC_1261.jpg Looking at the lengths when partially loaded with 18lb it looks like they're vi...

Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.

Had another delve inside to experiment with reducing velocity for easy plinking, In the tinbum kit, he supplies 2 washers of different thickness to experiment with under the top hat,it sort of equates to the standard top hat for 177 or the slightly shorter 22 version. So swapped over the washers, th...

Re: Tin bum short stroke for tx.

I've been thinking about the poor consistency all day at work racking my brains as to what I've got wrong . This afternoon fired 10 falcon accuracy through the chroney, there was a spread of 18 fps and averaging 10.6ftlb,same sort of poor consistency with other pellets aswell so it's not the pellet....
