not sure of tdr rifles, but on the 400/410's leave the barrel band on and just float the cylinder. did my 400 in 2005 and never looked back ;)
That's a good idea, always thought to float the barrel not the cylinder. Mind you it's nearly the same but with barrel protection.

Re: Moving to Facebook

Not everyone's on Facebook. More and more people are leaving "social" media.
Aaoc would be open to so many more idiots via Facebook, Mark my words.

Re: Floating or clamped, pro's and con's

I've tested floating fully and using the barrel band on my mpr and I'd say the grouping is a little tighter free floating but have to be very careful not to knock the barrel as with all free floating barrels. Rich P.s free floating does change the point of impact significantly so a re-zero goes with...

Re: Raised cheek piece recommendations.

Can't you make a custom homemade one as a little project? One which can be detached when not needed.

Re: Thanks for the add

Hello and welcome. I can add some info regarding fitting a regulator. First thing the regs you mentioned are both spot on, it's up to you which you chose. Secondly I'd really think is it work spending £200+ on fitting a reg? In my opinion no. It would be more cost effective buying a rifle which has ...

Re: Dialing for elevation.

https://youtu.be/qWFTdT_G6Sg Maybe I should try FT then as I doubt many could do this either in those conditions. It's an old video but I've had 9 years more practice since then ;) Nice group but you missed the target by a beak’s length, That is too big a group for a sure humane kill, even prorated...

Re: Dialing for elevation.

Not wanting to hijack this thread but I only shoot vermin and regularly take rabbits, and when it was allowed crows, magpies etc at 50 yards. I know I can and I am confident enough to take these shots. Rats are a different ball game for me - 20 yards average ha ha. I know my limits. I also like sta...

Re: Dialing for elevation.

Not many FT champs could hit 100% of 25mm kill zones at 80 yards whereas most competent hunters could do it 100% at 30 yards. Which means a good proportion of 80 yard shots would be misses or woundings. If you always walk the 80 yards to check then that’s fine. Even though I don’t shoot vermin I ha...
