Re: TX 200 ....

If it's just been serviced, maybe one or more of the stock screws haven't been tightened up correctly. One each side of the fore end and two for the trigger guard. As suggested, a drop of Loctite on the screws might be a good idea, but make sure it's one of the "low strength" ones such as ...

Re: Prosport or TX200 ?

Thanks for the confirmation Ray,

Don't you think though, AA might have some obligation to all or their loyal customers to ensure they stay within the law?

Silly me, after all money speaks louder than morality!!!

Re: Prosport or TX200 ?
Sorry, I thought that's what I said. "The Home Office says that no form of barrel add-ons can count towards length." All that counts as far as the legislation is concerned is the actual barrel ie. from breech to crown. ATB Ray.
Yes, you're absolutely correct. What concerns ...

Re: Prosport or TX200 ?

I'm sure that's all very well, but. Although as part of the OEM's product they are not technically "add-ons", the plenum insert and baffles are not part of the "barrel". Whatever way it's specified, the barrel itself is still 241mm (9.5") long, and not 330mm (13") or 38...

Re: Prosport or TX200 ?

I'm confused! I thought the barrel lengths for the TX200 HC & ProSport were 9.5". However, the AA website says 13" & 15" respectively (from breech end of barrel to end of muzzle). Presumably, this includes the plenum insert on the TX200 HC and baffles on the ProSport? Surely t...

Re: Prosport or TX200 ?

I think it's due to the length of the barrel. I'm sure someone else on here can add the detail. I thought the ProSport was uncomfortable to cock until I took some fine wet 'n' dry paper to the sharp edges and corners of the cocking lever. Yes, it's a little unconventional, but once you've mastered t...

Re: TX200 trigger problem?

I managed to get the trigger to latch out of the rifle, and yes, it took quite a shove.

The trigger now latches OK in the rifle, but it takes an extra tug to engage the safety.

Re: TX200 trigger problem?

Thanks TT,

I'll give latching the trigger another go.

Yes, I think the cocking shoe can be fitted the wrong way round, but the cocking link won't fit.

Re: TX200 trigger problem?

I've tried latching the trigger out of the rifle, by inserting a rod where the piston rod would go, but without success. Or, I wasn't pushing hard enough. I'm guessing that I don't need to push excessively hard? However, If I push the upper sear upwards from in front of the trigger, and then lever t...
