Re: Ultimate Sporter

Something I didn't realise is that the 12 ft/pd brass valve pot is screwed in or threaded, where the FAC version is a set distance as it is held in by a grub screw, so adjusting the valve spring tension isn't as simple as I thought. On re reading the reply from Altaros, it's more that they would wan...

Re: Ultimate Sporter

Thanks Tony. I had contacted Altaros, but they said they haven't done any work on the springs to be able to advise me, but felt the shot count would probably increase somewhat if I did. I would go for a Lane reg, but still tossing up if I will drill the tube or not. Am I right in thinking that whate...

Re: Ultimate Sporter

Sorry to bomb your thread, but didn't want to start another s510 reg thread. I have an FAC. 177 carbine. I will put a reg in it soon, and plan to keep it around 11 - 12 ft/pd. Does anyone know if the transfer port is big enough as it is, and is there a benefit in either lightening the hammer spring ...

New member from NZ.

Hi all, I am a new member to this forum. I'm in New Zealand, and have been shooting airguns for a few years. A few months ago I bought an HFT500 off a friend because it was a good deal. I started to use it and have come to appreciate it. I do pest control for work and have mainly used an FX Cyclone ...

Re: Why unregulate an s410.

I'm no expert, but you should probably watch some of lanes videos to understand how they all relate to each other. The reg meters out the same pressure blast of air, but what let's out that air on trigger release needs to be tuned to harmonize with that. It's kind of like photography where a few fac...

Re: Regulator

That's interesting. So whatever reg you put in, if you do nothing, you loose the power curve. For me the curve does my head in, and never remember how many shots I have fired. So a sudden change when it drops off the reg is fine by me. I've fitted a lane reg into a cyclone before and that came with ...

Re: Regulator

I'm in NZ. Sparrows tend to be a pest, only when indoors. But not protected here.

Re: Regulator

Extra goodness! I will be turning it down to 12 ft/pd or slightly less, so your muesli is safe. 177 for the flatter trajectory. Some shots from the wine section to above the butchery can be around 50 m, so the flatter the better. Much easier to find the pellet wrapped in a sparrow . :D
