A family member is starting out shooting and has the opportunity of a S300 for a couple of hundred quid. He's wanting my opinion on them, I've had most Air Arms rifles but not that one. I know these are old models but age aside what are the pros and cons of these particular rifles? Anything he needs...

Sorry about leaving the thread hanging fellas I had to wait a while until I could recieve my bits n bobs and then find time to fit them.
Replaced the old fill valve and also bought a new fill adaptor. The rifle seems to be working fine now as it filled up no problem today

I'm still waiting to here back from Best Fittings. Roger who helps runs the Masters was away last week at the world's so they couldn't get in touch with him to confirm I won the prize

I was lucky enough to win a Best Fittings voucher at the HFT Masters in their raffle. A new fill valve and fill adaptor on order

It's not the dive bottle as it has plenty in and the pump wouldn't work either

There's air in the rifle as I I was using it then when I went for a refill the problem arose so it isn't full.

Different hose on the lump and the bottle.

I've just removed the cylinder from the rifle to no avail. I also tried knocking the nipple with a plastic handle from a screwdriver to see if that loosened it. Hmmmmmm

Just tried filling from the dive bottle and the cylinder still refuses to accept air.
Any suggestions?
