Re: Springer weight increase
There are 2 people I can highly recommend who supply kits and re-engineer TX200HCs. Longer TX barrels are more efficient and easier to tune. Dave Price (also known as Wonky Donky) lightens the standard piston to about 175g, adds a longer latch rod to shorten the stroke and shortens the transfer port...

Re: CD Trigger stages
You would either have a fair amount of creep before the rifle actually fired or it would be dangerously easy to negligently fire as soon as the safety is clicked off.

Re: TX Latch rod
Shaun Hill at ISP in Wallsall will make you one. Whatever length you need. He can also extend the thread for you to fine tune the stroke length too. Highly reccommended.

Re: TX200 Mk1 low power
As you are getting more power from light pellets it sounds like the piston is 'bouncing' If you add a little weight inside the piston ( MK1 or MK2 springs have collapsed coils and a steel tophat inside the piston) rather than preload washers on the spring guide, that should close the gap between lig...

Re: ProSport .177 tuning
The Pro Sport is a lovely looking rifle and is assumed to be a 'tuned rifle straight from the box' It has MK3 TX200 internals with buttons on the compression tube. The spring/guide/piston/ top-hat and trigger unit are all TX. I have found that the springs tend to compress and expand around the guide...

Re: HELP Please TX200 Mk1 problem
HI, Don't drill the cylinder as this will instantly devalue the rifle. Find a spring set-up that reduces recoil and get a decent one-piece scope mount. Out of curiosity, what is the serial number? You should easily get 11+ ft/lb from a MK1 TX. It sounds like it wasn't well treated by a previous owne...
