Re: Springer scope. What you all using?

I'm a noob, but I have to give a plug to the Sabre Optics 4x32 AO (parallax adjustable) on my Walther LGV Challenger. Ridiculously low price from JS Ramsbottom, and it seems pretty good. A bargain I'd say at £16.89. I believe it's made in the same far east factory as other better known brand name sc...

Re: Is this S200 performing ok?

Thanks Raj. I misunderstood what you meant about film negative. I get that - it's just like a damper washer (as is used in archery stabiliser setups). Thank you, I will try that. Also, re: POA/POI, I'm using diopter sights, so always centering the roundel in the ring. That group was before I had zer...

Re: TX200 Differences between Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3

Wow, FPoole, you know your stuff! Thanks all for the replies.

Which model is your favourite?

Do you agree with others that the MkIII with longer stroke is not as good as the MkII?

Re: Is this S200 performing ok?

I did the things mentioned in my November 26th post. Specifically, I loosened the hammer spring cap screw by 1/2 a turn, and adjusted the venturi to bring speed to 564 fps using JSB Sport Target wadcutter pellets, 8.02gr (5.66 fpe). Attached a photo of a 5 pellet group at 10m, Dioptre sights, rested...

Re: TX200 Differences between Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3

This is what I can work out, but I'm not certain: Mk0: HW77 Mk1 shorter stroke, no anti bear trap, unshrouded barrel, no chequering, blocky looking stock Mk2: shorter stroke, anti bear trap, chequering, still fairly blocky stock Mk3: longer stroke, anti bear trap, shrouded barrel, fish scale chequer...

Re: TX200 Differences between Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3

This seems very useful, as a comparison of Mkii and Mkiii

TX200 Differences between Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3

Can anyone provide a summary of how each version of the TX200 changed from the previous one?

I think Mk3 has chequering on the stock!

Re: Is this S200 performing ok?

I had a look at other threads on floating barrel. As an archer, I can appreciate two things. First, that the bow-arrow-shooter is a system, just like gun-pellet-shooter. Second, that consistency is king and any disruption or interference in the shot cycle is bad. So, if the air cylinder is vibrating...

Um, Raj, I have to ask:

1. Are you joking about the trigger or serious?

2. And does this mean that you think the brass support will be detrimental?

Re: Is this S200 performing ok?

Raj, yes, I was surprised by the impact of the power change. I'm going to have another go to get the pellet speed down to around 580 fps, as I understand that's optimum for target shooting at 10m, with flat head pellets. The Rowan Engineering jewelry arrived today - see photo. I didn't want to spend...
