If its any use I paid £150 for a beautifully marked one with studs fitted in absolutely mint condition. Thanks gents. I'm off to the farm all day today so will do some more tests and compare mildots later. Mechanical disasters aside (seized brakes on small Fergie last time) hoping to get a few shots in.

Hi, Fill port on rifle looks like :- S400FillPort.jpg although it may or may not have the 'T' shaped piece on the end. So about 31 ft.lbs then or the same as a 16 grain pellet travelling at 930 fps. Maybe the 950fps you have heard about is with a lighter pellet.
