Re: Increase trigger weight on s400 mpr?

Its usually known as the "three sear trigger" so by that logic they're all sears . Could also replace the lovely MPR trigger blade with a later standard hunter trigger with the anti rattle spring beefed up. It just sounds awful. By the way just tead the OP again. The factory trigger is a couple of o...

Re: Increase trigger weight on s400 mpr?

Possibly not. I would be more worried about breaking it in half with that split design, and probably a stiff 2 or 3 kg load spring to get 1.2 kg on the trigger. Remember the broken top sears a couple of years ago. Also pity to beef up a lovely crisp light trigger. Meh, give it a try and report back ...

Re: Increase trigger weight on s400 mpr?

Easy to do that. Remove from stock and remove trigger guard. Under there at the front is a grub screw that adjusts trigger weight . Wind it out and replace spring with a stronger one. You might wear out the sears though.

Take side plate off to get a good look.

If that's the recoil-less opposing piston one it's our favourite club rifle (Ours is branded "Original" made in West Germany) and as accurate as any.

Re: Diopters

The front size depends on the target and how good you are. With 10m NSRA targets I started on 4.2 and worked down to 3.8 perspex. Top shooters will go smaller. You want it big enough to keep the spot from wobbling out the hole but small enough so you can centre it accurately. Eyepiece of 1.1 is stan...

Re: Newby Questions for S400 Precision

The S400 Precision is classic S400 from the firing valve backwards. in front of the firing valve it is completely different. So all the S400/500 tips about cleaning and polishing the hammer rail, power screw, trigger sears etc apply to the precision too. All the stuff about firing pots, cylinders an...
