Re: Bag Fillings
Plastic pellets from eBay. Fill and forget. BBF good idea never thought of that I'll second that. I've been using polystyrene beads in my shooting cushion for years, but they tend to compress over time, leaving the cushion rather flat. I'm going to try plastic pellets next time. A bit heavier maybe...

Don't see why not. The problem might be seeing your ranging target!

Re: Chairgun
Another appraoch is ordinary trigonometry. Example: suppose you can actually measure accurately the axis of the scope (sight line) with the axis of the barrel. (Even with a breakbarrel and some barrel droop these assumptions hold.) And assume the drop of the pellet to the first zero point is negleg...

Thanks for that. No I didn't know. But why should there be less stress at one end than the other?

Re: TX200 trigger adjusting.
No need to have the trigger guard on, but you can also just remove the trigger unit and the piston, just use the piston latch rod to cock the trigger mechanism. Easier and ultimately quicker than cocking and firing the gun. This sounds like a good way to go, but will this not give the wrong pull we...

Re: TX200 HC power reduction?
Mmmm....... No washers in the piston, so I think I'll give "collapsing a coil" a try. I watched the videos and it seems pretty straightforward. However, there was no mention of re-tempering. OK, the collapsed coils will be fine, but what about the adjacent live coils?

Re: TX200 HC power reduction?
Bosun, You have checked that there are no 'spacing washers' at the base of the piston...? They are sometimes there, but are difficult to get out. Invert the piston and give a few sharp bangs of the latch rod end onto a piece of wood, so's not to damage the latch rod. It is very unusual for a standa...

Yes, I considered that, but I'm not confident that I wouldn't end up cocking it up. There seem to be several thoughts on how to do it.

Re: TX200 HC power reduction?
Hi Gary,
The spring is what came in the rifle from new (with polished ends), and as stated above, muzzle energy is 11.72ftlb with 8.4 grain AA pellets.
