Why post if AA guns never go wrong?
Don't tempt fate

Must be time of year. When the WOC goes quiet you KNOW people's attention is elsewhere!

Re: Firing pot spring tension

I think you need to bear in mind the number of usable shots will depend on the shape of the power curve and how much variation you find acceptable. As you screw the pot in the power will reduce but you can compensate by opening up the adjustment screw on the transfer port. You will reach a point whe...

Re: Shroud

I think you'll find adding a silencer to current models blanks off the shroud so it has no effect whatsoever. I may be wrong for some earlier models which I believe may have attached to the shroud rather than the barrel, a design which was discontinued because they were likely to move and clip the p...

Re: TX200 Hard to Cock

Apart from the force needed are there any other symptoms? Any grinding noises when cocking? Any power loss or change in noise when firing?

The TX200 is so simple to dismantle it's probably best to take the trigger assembly off and check the spring, piston and trigger unit.

Re: Air Arms Magazine Pellet Loading problem.

Yes the magazines I use are air arms as is the pellets. Air Arms don't make a multi mag , only the single 10 shot mags . the muti mags are an after market inject molded / 3D printed product made by someone other than Air Arms . I think most of us took "multi mag" to mean the AA 10-shot mag (as oppo...

Re: Indexing Post

Is this an AA design or a DIY/3rd-party modification? It looks like a solid brass lever with a spring wire behind. The old-style spring pawl is the weakest link and therefore the first thing to get damaged if forced. Beefing this up might create problems elsewhere in the cocking mechanism - some oth...

Re: Air Arms Magazine Pellet Loading problem.

I think these are related problems but not sure which comes first. My mags occasionally won't slot in, and when I take them out I find the drum is between detents. Have I read a thread where other owners have had mags jumping out? A bent pawl could cause the drum to be incorrectly aligned and the ma...

Re: Air Arms Magazine Pellet Loading problem.

During my communications with AA I suggested the two O ring fix. They said that they had tried it and found it not to be a satisfactory fix. Why I have no idea. I also suggested the O ring being placed in the centre of the drum and recessed deeper. I think the difficulty with either a 2 o-ring or m...

Re: Air Arms Magazine Pellet Loading problem.

I didn't intend to imply this is a user problem - just trying to understand how and why you are getting it and I'm not.
Still none the wiser! :?
