Re: Trigger with an attitude ?

I agree with Rog. In addition, I wonder if it's the spring to return the trigger blade. This is a poor design - an afterthought - and may be distorting when compressed. I've replaced all my AA trigger blades and done away with the spring... Rowan adjustables mostly.

Re: AA S510 FAC Xtra Reg

Can't offer any S510 FAC experience. What does a full string look like.. fps variation, how much of a sweet spot (over what pressure range), and how many shots do you lose if you drop the fill pressure to start of the spot.

Re: good set up.

Much the same as Roger... I'll use a 30m zero and 8-9x magnification depending on pellet to give +1mil dot at 50yds. You will notice a lot less holdover at long range than the .22. The only thing I'd add about a 35yd zero is you will need to hold under for mid-range shots, 22-27yds... about half mil...

Re: Trigger reset to Factory spec

Well, have to say, if you've fitted rowan triggers, I imagine you would have read the fitting instructions, will you be letting them know that there fitting instructions are potentially unsafe, because they pretty much suggest to do them the same way that I do it . Rog Rog, I wasn't looking ...

I like a floppy trigger, it lets me know if it's cocked or not, just my preference...
Well that's something we agree on!
I've replaced all my AA trigger blades. 3 have Rowan adjustable and one with a wider custom blade. No spring or safety on any.

Re: Trigger reset to Factory spec

Not much I can add to that, that's the way I set them, they all get a bump test, and if I thought there was a problem, I would maybe look at doing them differently, but up to now I've not had any problems... Just to be clear Rog, are you setting later triggers, the ones with the return spring behin...

Re: Trigger reset to Factory spec

At some point I'll check it out but, having just looked at a photo of the trigger with side plate removed, I'm convinced there is only minimal sear engagement. That seems to be borne out by you saying it will fire if the trigger weight is reduced. Anyway, it's not the way I would do it and I'm sure ...

Re: Trigger reset to Factory spec

Easy enough to sort, take the trigger cover plate off, then push the top sear up, this cocks the trigger, back out the second stage screw, then turn first stage in until it fires then back out a bit, push top sear up again and adjust 2nd stage in until it fires then back that out a bit, having cove...

Re: New Pro-Sport .22 seems low-powered

Unless you know the full previous history it's possible that the old spring wasn't the original. If you checked the number of coils and ends were the same as the new spring it would rule out any chopping of the spring by the owner. If it is a chopped spring the annealing of the end will cause a weak...
