Re: old age

Sometimes you chaps don't help at all! At 36 you're making me feel like a kid again only I've already given up hope of taking unsupported shots and talk of three mile walks is just rubbing it in. When my grand parents used to warn me of the perils of my bad "genes" I thought they were tal...

Re: 12 ft/lbs

Not an expert but for what most people do with an airgun 12 seems ok. If it was set at 20 people would want 25. They wouldn't control the recoil but they would probably feel good.

Re: old age

Don't worry about it Fred. I'm 10 years ahead of you in the decay stakes and also feel like a kid but things do start not to work as well. I'm pretty good at the rested positions but some of the woodland course targets make me quite grumpy when I see the scope magnifying the shake. Good game though ...

Re: Tx vs Prosport

A good point. Trouble is the swift look at the site and its easy to look at general chat first. As a point of interest, there does not seem to be a PCP section or have I missed it?

Re: Tx vs Prosport

I have the TX and tried fellow members' Pro Sports and also spent ages working the cocking of both at the gunsmiths. For me - and call me a weeney, I found the ProSport tiring to cock and the angular shape of the cocking lever uncomfortable. Cracking rifle though and would have been the choice if th...

Re: outdoor clothing kit, tell us yours

If its physically demanding then the weight and non breathable nature of Barbour could be a disadvantage. Layers are the answer with a decent, as light as possible, top shell. Look at the offers in Cotswold and also seek their advice.

Re: Ignoring the rules or the law - an airgunner thing??

We had exactly the same problem on our woodland course down here in sunny - sorry, very wet - Cornwall. We only have club members and no 'turn up and shoot' people so we knew it had to be a club member(s). We had our suspicions but could not prove it but some stern threats on our club website (Kev's...

Re: BRASS BLING

Are you going to 'Bling' it and then start wrapping camo tape around the moderator and wear a disruptive pattern jacket to hide you from the bunnies. Nice to do but never quite seen the point. No different that tarting up a car I suppose.
