Re: S510 FAC Chrono results
Skans have a cult following, but they can be can be tricky to use. Before you do anything, particularly anything expensive, check your gun over as many chronos as you can, and see if this pattern is consistent over all of them. I'd also check that the gun is filling to it's proper pressure, as what ...

Re: S400 Gauge Accuracy
Hi. The usual advice is to believe the pump/cylinder gauge, but I've come across as many duff cylinder gauges as gun gauges. My suggestion is that until you can check, believe the gauge that reads high, as that way you run less risk of damaging anything - including you . Next is to try your gun gaug...

PLASTIC filler cap I hope not: at the price of an HFT 500 - I'd be whimpering Jack Smith

Re: HFT 500 Silencer
Just make sure the moderator has a sloped shoulder, or it won't clear the filler cap (I think they warn you on the Rowan site). The Q-Tec looks ok.
I find the Weihrauch silencer very good, but I've never done any tests to compare it with others.

Re: HFT 500 Silencer
I use a Weihrauch moderator on the Rowan adaptor without any problems when I don't want to annoy the neighbours. The only thing is, it makes it a hell of a long gun!

Yes Ballistol. Discovered it in the 1970's and used it for just about everything ever since.

Re: Pellet Oxidisation
The worst they can do is dirty the barrel, I'd give them a try. I've heard of people - serious FT/HFT competitors - who deliberately leave open tins of pellets in damp storage places to get a good coating of oxidation. They reckon it makes them more consistent.... I think I believe them.... Alan

Blueshot is good, but make sure your phone or whatever is compatible. Ask the Blueshot people if you're in doubt. Don't rely on the OTG test apps you can download from the web - I know someone who did.....

....but they have either enhanced tje studio sound or he's wound it up to over 6ft lb. Anyone at national level could do that trick. I agree, from what I've seen of the top 10 meter performers, it's good shooting, but not phenomenal. One thing though - a genuine question - would a pellet from a gun...

Re: Hi everyone
Hi Bob Perth is not exactly the Highlands, but it's not too far away I'm not sure if you're new to the sport, but if you are, welcome to the wonderful world of airguns. It's a strange one, where we all seem to accept levels of quality and service that no other sport or activity I've ever come across...
