Re: Air leaking

I don't know the S200 but the S4/5xx series, if you empty the cylinder completely, you need to cock the trigger to take the hammer away from the firing valve when you fill otherwise the firing valve may not close. It takes up to 50bar in the cylinder to hold the valve shut.

Re: pellet trap/paper target holder.

There are lots of ways of killing the noise but most (carpet, rags, rigid foam, Plumbers Mait, putty, etc.) make lead recovery time-consuming or messy. I now shoot into a target holder hung in a sound-insulated box in my garage; I just happen to have a convenient 30m range through an open door. If y...

Re: TX200 Bipod

I wouldn't fit a bipod on a springer because it interferes with the recoil, which will probably affect accuracy and shout grouping. If you need a rest, use either a bag or a tripod as a support for your hand rather than resting the gun itself.

Re: S510 adjustment

You might find cleaning and polishing the hammer rail does the trick. If the anti-tampers have been removed adjustment is not difficult but that won't remedy the cause. Sounds like it just needs a service.

Re: new scope/uttings.com or optics warehouse.com

I've bought 3 scopes and a pair of binoculars from Optics Warehouse, and various accessories. I'd use them again. I've had another retailer send me a returned/damaged scope sold as new so I'm now very careful to check a scope's condition including optical centring and checking it holds a target when...

Re: scope/mounts

Your cheek contact won't be as good and the trajectory azimuth will be at longer range, which may be an advantage for long-range shooting but a disadvantage for short range. Both SM 25mm and 30mm mediums are high enough to clear the magazine and indexing post (they are on my Ultimate Sporter and on ...

Re: all set up/ready to go

Why would you need higher mounts? I would have thought your cheek position and line-of-sight would be fine with medium mounts and that barrel clearance with a 50mm scope.

Re: S510 adjustment

Dis you buy new or used? If new, you should be able to get it adjusted at one of the Air Arms Service Centres rather than send it back to the factory but you would need to phone Air Arms first. If it's used and out of warranty there are possible reasons for a loss of power that might need to be inve...

Re: stirrup pump

The only dry pack that's any good is a high-pressure one on the outlet. I'm not going to argue the toss... just look up dew point tables. With a pack on the inlet water will still condense in the pump, unless you go to the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica or (maybe) the Atacama Desert. No strong pr...

Re: maybe a silly question/found 4 washers after loading bolt change

I take it they are too large to have come with the Rowan handle? Do you have scope mounts or other fittings with M4 bolts?
