Have a look at the sportsmatch mount range. Not the cheapest but ideal mounts. Personally I have fixed sportsmatch high mounts on my S410 carbine, carrying an MTV viper 6-24 x 56 scope. A small spoonful of honey dropped on the ground. It keeps them there long enough get a good shot.
They can't resist it.
What distance are you shotting them at.
I only ask because in my garden at about 10 yards the pellets go right through, so I make sure there is a solid background

Out of favour pellets
Hi all Does anybody use Marksman or Bulldog pellets anymore. I used them years ago and they always did the job. They seem to have fallen out of favour now. Now I use only Field Diablo's. I've seen them satallite pics and some of the canals in Venice. Which are now almost clear.
It's remarkable what has happened in such a short space of time.

There's loads of rabbits about but the weather conditions have been so bad I have not been out with the gun.
The ground is sodden and very slippery, you need to be very careful when walking/stalking.
I'm going to concentrate on crows and magpies as it get a bit drier.
