Re: Second hand S400f .177

Thats how it’s designed to be.
Long (safe) first Stage. Sugarsnap second stage.

Shorten first stage with the front stop screw mentioned at 2:25 in the “inside” video - if yours has one.

“reset” video also shows how to make second stage heavy and draggy if that's what you want.

Thanks all. Had afternoon tea in Luton Hoo. Worked out at about two quid a mouthful but a really nice experience as always.

Re: 2009 air arms s410 leaking ,

The brass barrel collar will not leak continuously. It only affects point of firing and usually has no O rings but may have one if its a bad fit. It’s not the problem here though, either way. (The brass collar is supposed to be loctited to the barrel). If you have a leak near the stock bolt hole are...

Re: S400 MPR FT

The barrel gets closer to the cylinder as it gets nearer the valve body. The gauge should be a close but not tight fit in the hole, it should say Air Arms and be a 22mm across flats hexagon with rounded corners. If not then it could be a replacement. Personally I would have the barrel band on rather...

Re: S400F carbine .177

Pretty sure the internals are identical so its just the barrel length different. Length of sweet curve depends on how much variation you will accept ie how it affects elevation at 40 yards

Re: Moved videos

Swapped typically 20,000 views for these two videos for single figures of views, but less people nagging me. Probably Google putting YT videos up front of vimeo in the searches.

Re: Air Arms S400 Mrp-Ft

A little soapy water applied with finger over the hole so as to form a bubble will show if there’s a leak from either o ring. But it could well be the springs compressing making a noise. Also the o rings need to deform into their grooves to work, pushing out grease from the groove corner. Any leak b...

Re: S400 MPR FT

Hello there! One of the best AA rifles made and sadly out of manufacture.
Not quite sure why you need dimension data when you have one in front of you to measure. Is there something you need to do?

It will say S400 MPR FT on the bolt housing if it is one.

Re: Air Arms S400 Mrp-Ft

Yes, you need to use somewhere like photobucket to post photos on here. Just two caveats. First you need to minimise the burr inside the hole by not leaning on the drill, and smooth it to perfection with very fine wet n dry. Secondly you may be unlucky and have a tube with swageing marks (grooves) i...
