Just bought some hollow points yesterday
Personally, I would stick with AADF 5.52 16gn, unless it's short range

Ok update

all sorted, i think the real issue here was lack of lube to the outer O ring on assembly, causing the O ring to stick ( under pressure of the fixing ) to the gauge mount & under side of the fixing screw head.
And now the fun begins :)

Don’t you think they should send them out free on request to registered original owners? Less than £21 anyway.
I like the way your thinking Peter :)

Re: Indexing Post

Is this an AA design or a DIY/3rd-party modification? It looks like a solid brass lever with a spring wire behind. The old-style spring pawl is the weakest link and therefore the first thing to get damaged if forced. Beefing this up might create problems elsewhere in the cocking mechanism - some ot...

Re: Air Arms Magazine Pellet Loading problem.

You could try taking the magazine apart and reversing the pellet retainer so that the pellet is now held by the o-ring, you would now have to push the pellet in yourself, but it seems to work ok, how does that grab you? Just had another look at what I tried, and this might not work as o-ring might g...

Re: Air Arms Magazine Pellet Loading problem.

Hi Rog I guess you are saying they are designed to hold the skirt but not the head? OK but if he “adjusts” the design a few thou to hold on the head then they cant fall out either way. As you say yours dont fall out without a sharp tap so the ring must be brushing the head anyway? I am assuming the...

Re: Air Arms Magazine Pellet Loading problem.

The Oring isn't designed to hold the pellet, its there to stop the pellet dropping straight through the mag when loading, I'm like Tony with this, I can't replicate this problem, once any of my mags are loaded, it requires quite a sharp tap to get them to fall out, are the mags the latest or older o...

Re: Air Arms Magazine Pellet Loading problem.

I would just like to say, I have had quite a few A/A S410 and S510 in both calibre over the years, and have never had or heard of this problem. If it was a Daystate, I would understand the problem :D having said that, the pellets do sometimes require seating, not really a problem though. Rog
