Thank you for all the replies. As this is a brand new gun. I emailed air arms and they told me to
send the gun back to them as it should not be making a pinging noise. So hopefully they will
solve the problem.

Hi, I bought a s400 classic two weeks ago, and from the the first shot it made a pinging noise. This does not effect the guns accuracy. I have a mpr and i have never herd any noise from that one. Oh well mine should increase in value. I have had hw and daystates, but my mpr and as200 will take some beating.

If you put a unmodified one beside the one you modified, we could see the difference between them.

I contacted cs custom stocks, to ask if they do a stock to fit a hft 500. They said it would fit into a cs 700
stock with a minor adjustment. Has anyone done this?

I would think it would make the whole gun a lot lighter. If anybody has. Any chance of a picky or two.
