Re: Hft500 power
On the right side of the receiver, just above the upper edge of the stock, you'll find a small hole with a button-head screw (2mm hex). Remove that screw and deep inside is the power adjust set screw (1.5mm hex). Rotate the hex key clockwise (inward) to reduce the power. A small turn of the hex key ...

Re: HFT 500 low on power
My HFT 500 started running low recently, like 100 fps slower than normal! I discovered that the power adjust screw had walked its way in restricting the air flow. I backed it out and got it running about where it was before. Perhaps yours is doing the same. That being said, the power adjust screw is...

Barrel screw torque?
Howdy folks. I recently discovered that one of the screws holding the barrel in place on my HFT500 had backed out a bit. I screwed it back in and attempted to match the torque of the other two screws, but I would love to torque it to factory spec. Does anyone know what the proper torque should be or...

Re: Hft 500 best pellet to use
I just did some pellet testing for my HFT 500 and confirmed that it likes the Air Arms Field Heavies (10.3) the best over any JSB's (8.4's and 10.3's) and H&N's (9.5's and 10.65's). I'm not in the UK so I've adjusted the speed and hammer spring to shoot the 10.3's at about 765fps. All rifles can hav...

Re: HFT 500 disassembly
Well, since I posted this yesterday I discovered a video for the s510 that showed me what I was missing... the four screws in front of the trigger! Glad to say the striker rod and striker looked good. I did hit the striker rod with some 1500 grit sandpaper to polish it up a bit more and did some jud...

HFT 500 disassembly
Howdy folks, For the life of me I can't figure out how to disassemble the HFT 500, specifically removing the striker body from the rest of the components. I also can't seem to get the trigger group off the striker body but I'm guessing there is another screw holding it on from the inside which I wil...
