Re: What a lovely sight!
Nice shooting lads, now make those pigeon sausage rolls they are lovely. Chris Where's the recipe please Chris? Got it from Mathew Manning's airgun hunting book. Just dice up the breast meat, mix with some sausage meat and herbs. Roll out some puff pastry nice and thin and then lay a good length of...

Re: Short night session
Well done Chris, have you noticed what beautiful condition the rabbits are this year? Apart from the milky does and battle scarred old bucks most of mine look really healthy, good fur and well padded. Maybe the mild winter agreed with them? Yes the rabbits have been in good fettle, and I'm amazed t...

Just wanted some pigeons!
Well for tea yesterday I made up a load of those pigeon sausage rolls (Mathew Manning recipe) and they were gorgeous and the kids loved them. So lets see if I can get a few more pigeons in the evening. Left the house at 7pm and walked up to the copse and was settled by ten past: http://i616.photobuc...

Short night session
I can't stand any more politics on the idiot box so I just had to get out. Fitted the red ultrafire and was out the house by 10:30pm. Walked into the first field and walked quietly halfway up the hedgeline before switching on the ultrafire and having a scan. That's odd no rabbits out, maybe Mr Fox h...

Re: out for 3 hours
Nice mixed bag in a relatively short session. That's my next aim this year to start doing a few videos.

Re: First decoying session 2015
Cheers folks. I reckon hide shooting decoyed pigeons with the airgun has to be one of the most skilful techniques to master (we've still got a lot to learn). It keeps you on edge throughout the day and even though you're in the hide all day you're knackered come the evening due to all the concentrat...

First decoying session 2015
Today was our first session on the pigeons. A couple of days ago I had seen a good number of pigeons feeding on some fresh drilling. So we set up the fishing brolley hide at 9:30am and set out all the fud decoys. From our experiences last year we positioned ourselves with the light winds directly be...

Back at it.
After the disappointing short trip the other day when the S410 decided to vent all its air at the crucial moment today was time to put things right. After getting the rifle back up to pressure I spent the morning putting 15 mags of pellets through it trying out various ranges from 20 to 60 yds to ge...

Re: First trip of 2015 and out of air!!!
Cheers for the comments. Overnight it kept its full charge of 180 and then late this afternoon I put 50 shots through it and all were good consistent shots. The gauge on the gun now reads a steady 150 so hoping that this may of been just a one off but I'll keep an eye on it as the season progresses....
