Re: ProSport Shroud: Necessary?
I live in the US as well-the current interpretation of shrouds and moderators in the US seems to hinge on intent of use and whether it could be used on a firearm. I haven't looked at the Prosport schematics but I rather doubt the shroud could be used to quiet a firearm. I am no lawyer and am not fam...

Re: S410 clipping issues
Hi, All, I believe I have it sorted out! After looking into the shroud carefully I could see a bushing that centers the muzzle in the shroud. I got to thinking it might have slid off the end of barrel in transit. I took the rear brass bushing out of the breech end of the shroud so I could slide the ...

Re: S410 clipping issues
Sounds simple, except I have yet to see a diagram of the model with the narrow shroud and screw on moderator. Would you happen to have the part number? With the number I could most likely see an image of the part. The piece I refer to is inside the shroud, black plastic, and has several baffles mold...

Re: S410 clipping issues
Hi, Keith, The moderator comes apart-the longer forward piece has baffles which are easily removed. There is also what looks like a baffled insert in the rear part of the moderator that appears to be attached to the inside of the shroud. Sadly I don't have a way to post any pics. When I shot the gun...

Re: S410 clipping issues
My 410 XTRA FAC is a bolt-action. It is easier to cycle the bolt on the 410 than the bolt on a Daystate Huntsman Regal XL. My 410 has the narrow 15.5 mm OD shroud and the barrel ends 1 3/8" from the rear of the figure 8 barrel band. I would be willing to scrap the shroud and fit a screw-on moderator...

Re: S410 clipping issues
I haven't had any success as yet finding a parts diagram for that specific model, the S410 XTRA FAC
If you know of one a link would be most welcome!
thanks,
John

Re: S410 clipping issues
Thanks for the response. Barrel is around 19" (not sure how far it extends into the bolt carrier) and the shroud is around 25" I will acquire a heat gun and see if I can remove the moderator. I'm not sure of the make of the moderator, it is 2-piece design with a tapered threaded piece that attaches ...

Re: S410 clipping issues
Hello again, I neglected to mention that my S410 is the XTRA FAC version. I'm thinking that removing the moderator from the shroud may be a possibility but I'm a bit hesitant as it appears there are baffles in the shroud as well as in the moderator so heating it might damage the baffles in the shrou...

S410 clipping issues
Hello all, I recently acquired a used S410 in .22 caliber. An elegant rifle but something was damaged in shipment and it is clipping badly. Without the shroud it will group nicely, but throws pellets far left with shroud and moderator attached. This one has a narrow shroud with a threaded moderator....

Hello from across the pond
Greetings, all, I have recently acquired a new to me AA S410-unfortunately something went wrong in shipment and it is clipping badly. It will group beautifully with the shroud and moderator combination removed but with the shroud on it will spray pellets far to the left in shotgun fashion. I need as...
