I recently had the same issue and found that the rear guide was very loose, I got UK Neil to make me a delrin guide and top hat (sent him my spring for size) rebuilt and no twang.

I have a .177 pro sport which is 4 months old, I put it over the chrony and I am only getting 9.6, would like it around 10.5 so question is will I be able to get this with pre load washers or is it too much. Will be pretty disappointed if I have to shell out more of my hard earned on what is suppose...
