Re: Young Gun?
Thank you for that TMP, The intention is not to use the spring powered rifle at the club when we have target specific recoil free rifles. We are trying to give the youngsters an all round experience of Air Rifle shooting, and part of that, is giving them the opportunity to experience and manage reco...

Young Gun?
Good afternoon All, Currently, all of the rifles used at our Scout Campsite and Target Shooting Club are Co2 powered (QB78D's & QB78 Matches). I'd like to give them some experience with a break barrelled spring powered rifle. Any suggestions? It will need to be a maximum of 6ftlb to use at the Targe...

Re: Pro sport AND TX200HC
I have both in 0.177 and loading for me is identical. However, if you do fail to load the pellet correctly with the ProSport it just drops straight through. Instead of with the TX200 HC, where you have to turn the rifle over to empty out the pellet. With respect to cocking, I find the ProSport the e...

Re: scopes and wearing glasses
I have to wear reading glasses as required, but have no problems shooting my scoped TX or ProSport without them. I do however have a problem shooting pistols with open/iron sights. I need to wear the specs to get the sights in focus, but then the target is out of focus. I realise, that even with 50/...

Re: co2 cartridges
All is not lost. Just put a drop of Silicon Oil on the tip of the capsule before inserting into the gun and hey presto, there's your lube. Some people also use Crosman "Pelgun Oil", but I understand this is nothing more than ATF (auto transmission fluid). Yes, Pelgun Oil is an expensive wa...

Re: co2 cartridges
In a 2 ft lb 177 target pistol they do about 50-60 shots. On a higher power .22 you can probably halve it. We always remove the CO2 bulbs after use rom our CP88 to save the seals but they are only pushed up against a rubber ring so they will empty over a few days anyway. Some bulbs can have rougher...

Ditto. Decided mine needed cleaning when the groups started to open up. Seems OK now.

Barrel cleaning?
Good morning All,
The groups are opening up a little with my ProSport, so I thought I'd give the barrel a clean. I've got a pull-through, a drinking straw and some Napier cleaning cloth. What do I put on the cleaning patch (if anything)?
many thanks.
