Re: 40 bar sweet move change???
Very good point about the de pinger. I’m fairly sure it clears the pot but I’ll take the cylinder off when I get a minute and double check. It’s got a rod which is used to space it off of the firing valve body but I must admit that I didn’t check before installing

Re: 40 bar sweet move change???
I think the gauge is reading correctly. It’s a brand new hills mk4 pump whereas I was using an old stirrup pump but the pressure reading on stirrup pump gauge and cylinder gauge read the same. The only other thing that is different post and pre strip down is that I fitted a lane depinger. It’s a tig...

Re: 40 bar sweet move change???
About the same number of useable shots (20ish). New hammer spring, firing valve , firing valve spring and pot. Pot put in at 57mm. The pressure drops in line with the shot count. Did a second chrono after about 150/200 shots fired through and it showed the same, sweet spot at 190bar and a spread of ...

40 bar sweet move change???

Did a full chrono first with .22 jsb rs and the sweet spot was at 150 bar for 19 shots at around 604 FPS. After polishing , replacing springs etc the FPS is now around 6...

Yes. Ordered the lighter ones from js Ramsbottom at the weekend. Best to wait and chrono them before doing anything?

Re: Finally did it!!
Did a full string earlier and the results are Pre strip down Max FPS 515 / 10.6ftlb Average FPS 503 / 10.1ftlb Post strip down Max FPS 526 / 11.1ftlb Average FPS 516 / 10.6 The sweet spot has moved too from 170 bar to 150 bar. I would like a touch higher FPS though so may move the pot out to 58/59mm...

Re: Finally did it!!
18gn aa field heavy. Giving around 10.5 fpe. I like them and they are heavy hitting and accurate. I’ll try the others too Thoth and see how they do in my gun. As they’re lighter will they still deliver a good whack at 30/35yds as my understanding is that the fpe will be lower?
