Air Arms Tv ..Dismay

I just watched a Youtube video by Air Arms tv. It was titled Airgun Squirrel Hunting with The Air Arms Ultimate Sporter. In this video, Ian Halford, continually broke one the safety rules of hunting. Time after time he would climb over a gate or up a high seat with a rifle slung over his shoulder. I...

Should I be concerned?

I just picked a new AA S410 TDR. It felt surprising comfortable in the store so I bought it. I was looking for something different and to be honest, I thought it would be a easy rifle to customize. When I put the rifle together (it's the FAC version) I found most of the bolts loose. the 5mm stock bo...

Re: HFT 500 accuracy

I had considered the MPR, but as I traded in a S510 for the HFT 500, I prefer the smoothness of the side lever. I also wanted the longer cylinder for a greater shot count. Besides I still have an excuse to purchase a S400 as a rifle for friends to shoot. I try to introduce friends to fun and challen...

Re: HFT 500 accuracy

I picked up the HFT 500 today. Brought it home. Cleaned everything up and mounted a Hawke scope. I grabbed a tin of AA fields 4.52 8.44s. Sighted in the scope and went to work. This boring! off my shooting bench, all the pellets were going through the same hole at 15 yards. Its too windy and gusty o...

Re: Remove lacquer from Ultimate Sporter stock

I've used it on walnut, beech and laminated wood stocks. I haven't noticed that the wood was darker. I've also used it to remove varnish from oak stair banisters. I've used Tru-oil and linseed oil as a finish to these gun stocks. The stocks do darken with multiple applications of these two oils. I've...

Re: Remove lacquer from Ultimate Sporter stock

Here, in Canada, I use easy off oven cleaner. It work very well, can be found in any grocery store and is inexpensive. Just make sue you are wearing rubber gloves.

Re: HFT 500 accuracy

I just put a deposit down on a HFT 500 today. Went to my Airgun Dealer and took another look at the HFT . I looked at a couple of HFTs. They all seem to have rub marks on the left side of the forend stippling. Is this from the rifle rubbing against the box while being shipped? is there an easy fix f...

Re: HFT 500 accuracy

Alan,

Thanks for your feed back.
It was between the HFT 500 and the new Daystate Griffin. The $1000.00 I save on the HFT, will go towards pellets and scope and mounts.

HFT 500 accuracy

Need a little help here guys. I've been shooting my FTP 900 for 4 years and loving it. This summer I unfortunately hurt my back and right shoulder. I'm looking for a lighter target rifle that I can use until my back is sorted out. The two choices I have are the AA FTP 500 and the Daystate Griffin (n...

Re: FTP 900 QUERY!

I've had my FTP for 3 years and have no issues with POI shift ever. I've left it as it came from the factory. The rifle shot so well that I that I've not had any need to mess with it.
