Re: EV2 Mark IV - Butt plate.

I have fitted an MEC Contact 3 buttplate to my EV2 for the time being and made a backplate to attach it to the single post mount that would have held the original backplate so I have been able to retain the length and swivel adjustment too - but I need to return the Contact 3 to my Walther match rif...

EV2 Mark IV - Butt plate.

I have just picked-up a nice EV2 Mark IV ( in back with a laminated stock) that I am very pleased with, but the previous owner used it for bench rest shooting and preferred to use a rubber butt pad and disposed of the original adjustable alloy butt plate some time ago. Many EV2 rifles are customised...

Re: Engineered Bipod and Circular Rear Rest for FTP900

If we cannot find-out who makes these excellent engineered bipods I think I will make a couple for myself as they would be fairly easy to make on my Myford Super 7 with just a little bit of work for my milling machine too. The biggest factor when making something like this is the time it takes - and...

Re: Diopters

All of my 10 meter match rifles are Walther LG300XT or LG400 variants and have their own branded Centra front sights and Walther rear diopters. I have both the 18mm and 22mm Centra front sight tunnels and prefer to use Centra High End glass inserts for total clarity. I have been shooting with target...

Re: How to identify and date TX200 Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3

Thanks Tony, I thought the dark wood "cap" was only used on the walnut stocks but it looks like it can be found on any of the Mk3 stocks, including the beech ones. I appreciate that using the stock to try and date any air rifle would be highly unreliable as it is an item that can be so easily exchan...

Re: How to identify and date TX200 Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3

Another question regarding the identity of the TX200 and TX200HC air rifles is that some have a nice dark wood cap fitted to the bottom of the pistol grip. Both of my walnut stocked rifles (one TX 200 and one TX200HC) have this attractive feature and so I thought that is was only fitted to walnut st...

Re: How to identify and date TX200 Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3

Thats interesting - maybe it is a cross-over model.

The gun number is 041350 so maybe that will help to identify it when I can find out the production date?

Re: How to identify and date TX200 Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3

Thanks for the info.

All three of my TX's have irregular ratchet notches so they must be Mk3's.

I will try emailing Air Arms to ask about the age of my three rifles, but a previous emailed request for the age of my Pro Target remains unanswered, so I will try by telephone this time.

Engineered Bipod and Circular Rear Rest for FTP900

I bought a s/h matching bipod and circular rear rest for my FTP900 that I am told were made by "someone up north" and that he only makes a few sets each year. These brilliant bits of engineering work as well as they look and I would like to buy another new set - and another set for a club mate if on...

Re: FTP900 Bipod and Circular Rear Rest.

I have the same "engineered" bipod and circular rear rest on my FTP900 as shown fitted to your smart looking rifle and I would love to be able to find another one of these same bipods for use on my Pro Target. At the moment I swap the bipod between the two rifles and they are as "solid as a rock" bu...
