"The wife"? I got rid of mine 20 years ago come May. Best thing I ever did. It was the year I laid my patio as I recall;) Your good lady should branch out (no pun intended). She could grow cucumbers, peppers etc in pots. And bigger pots outdoors can sustain potatoes, carrots, lettuce, herb...

If they want to rear birds and go chase said birds I don't really care. I wouldn't say it's particularly sporting in the truer sense of the word, but neither is fox hunting with hounds in my eyes . I don't feel the urge to become a hunt saboteur though. Live and let live I say. I think hunting game...
