Re: Scottish Air Gun Licence Stage 3 - D Day

I would have thought grandfather rights would be a reasonable idea but then when has the goveernment ever been reasonable about firearms? After the last FAC changes in the UK I ended up letting 17 hand guns go for a small fraction of what I paid for them. I dont relish giving up the air rifles I own...

Re: Home tuning.

Mine has I drilled and tapped a 4mm hole in the back of the pressure gauge block. Used a PTFE tipped screw to make the seal and filed a flat along the thread. Complete job took 10 minutes.

Re: Home tuning.

My S410 had a fine layer of rust applied to the hammer rail from new.
THe saving grace is the AT is easy to remove.
Did I mention at any time that I dislike At on rifles?

Re: Home tuning.

Well done Mikey, the thing that really bugs me about this cleaning and polishing hammers and rails is that it should be done properly by Air Arms to start with! Increased efficiency and more accurate is what people want yet AA still send out rifles that need tweaking to get the best from them. Id h...

MTC Viper 4-16

MTC Viper 4-16 The scope is superb to use with good optics and a nice feel to the turrets. There is one small scratch on the tube just in front of the windage turret and the eyepiece lens cap has a repair on the hinge. The cap works fine and the repair is basicaly invisable. The scope comes with a s...

Re: BASC Airgun Survey

When I filled out the part asking "what can BASC do for airgunners", I told them to sort the ANTI TAMPER out so that owners don't get caught with their pants down Tell them straight BBF I said the same thing. Same here, the all powerful GTA need a seriouse kick in the testicles over anti ...

Re: Ting noise

I'm told its resonance in the air chamber, and can be cured by fitting a de-pinger in the air cylinder. I lost most of the firing noise on my s410 after I removed the machining marks from the hammer rail and put a stainless steel hammer spring in. I'm sure the air chamber amplifies the noise and the...

Re: Scopes

Dan The Sightron scopes are well worth the money and a mile ahgead of the MTC's. I have two MTC viper 4-16's a Weaver T36 and a Sightron and if I had the inclination I would sell both MTC's to buy another Sightron. The general fit and feel of the Sightron is a long way ahead of the Vipers and the op...
