If you off a horse it's a great deal of work to dig the hole to bury it. It's a much better idea to sell the horse or even give it away. It then becomes someone else's problem. Besides you no longer have to store hay for the winter. I agree it's better to flog a dead horse,at least that's how I tho...

Re: What airrifle would you want back after selling it?
My .25 calibre rotary breech Airsporter, part exchanged it against a new S410 Xtra,I've never seen another example. It shot Rhinos at a touch over 500fps but was great short range fun, sending whatever I hit flying.

Re: springer / pcp hybrid
What about an over and under or side by side?,a .177 pcp for target use combined with a .22 underlever springer, selective triggers like a twelve gauge. To save all up weight the reservoir for the pcp could be a remote unit held in a holster on the shooters belt.Hell,it couldn't look any worse than an...

Re: premission through free paper ads?
It's highly unlikely that any land owner or lease holder would grant permission for a complete stranger to use a gun on their property on the strength of a classified advertisement.

Re: What do you dislike about modern air rifles.
Considering manufacturer's investment in premises, plant, tooling, research and development, staff etc, with some exceptions the modern air rifle is a bargain.I can only assume economy of scale keeps prices so low,and no I'm not a on a moonlighting M.P.'s wages.

Re: gel bluing
There's a kit in my workshop marked "Black It",I bought some years ago and it's proved useful for refinishing small components and areas on an action machined to bare metal. One of the main active ingredients is selenium sulphate, but I don't view any of these products as a viable substitute...

Re: Lead Free Pellets
think logun penetrators are lead.
I've just found an old Penetrator tub and it seems you're quite right, part of the text on the lid reads, and I quote "No Lead Pellet Penetrates Deeper-Guaranteed!".

Re: Lead Free Pellets
It's a few years ago but I remember watching someone using Logun Penetrators in a .22 S400 and hitting paint ball targets out to 55 yards.
